Matthew supports A1307 Petition

Matthew was the 99th person to add his signature to a petition calling for a safer A1307. The petition was started by Sam Potter, after he was caught in traffic in the wake of a fatal accident on 18th September. The introduction sets out the petition’s aim:

“This is a petition that people are to sign because they believe that the A1307 road from Linton to Horseheath needs to have action taken in order to stop fatalities happening along it. Most of the deaths and injuries along this road are caused by human error, either by speeding, lack of concentration, weather conditions etc. But a good percentage of the people involved in these accidents, weren't doing anything wrong. They were involved because of someone else. Recently a schoolboy, Joshua Bysouth and his Grandad were killed along this road leaving a grieving family and lots of questions. What can be done to prevent other families losing a loved one along this road? Speed trap? Single lane? Please sign this so we can pass this on to make something happen. Thanks for your time.”

Matthew commented: “I am glad to have signed the petition. This is about keeping up the pressure to make the read safer, and eventually have a safe dual carriageway all the way to Cambridge.
