MPs unite to fight windfarm proposals
Tim Yeo and Matthew Hancock, Members of Parliament for South Suffolk and West Suffolk respectively, are uniting to oppose a proposal by BT to erect wind turbines near the boundary of their two constituencies outside Clare, Suffolk.
"We believe that the visual and other impact of the proposed turbines is completely unacceptable in this attractive rural corner of Suffolk. We are not opposed to wind power in principle but turbines that can be seen from miles around should only be erected where they are acceptable to the communities affected."
Tim and Matthew are inviting concerned members of the public to attend a meeting to be held at a convenient location on a date to be announced.
