Suffolk MPs announce public meeting on proposed wind farm in Clare

Matthew is joining forces with Tim Yeo, Member of Parliament for neighbouring South Suffolk, to hold a public meeting to give local people the chance to voice their views over proposed BT wind turbines near the boundary of their two constituencies outside Clare, Suffolk.

They announced in June their intention to unite to oppose the wind farm: "We believe that the visual and other impact of the proposed turbines is completely unacceptable in this attractive rural corner of Suffolk. We are not opposed to wind power in principle but turbines that can be seen from miles around should only be erected where they are acceptable to the communities affected."

The public meeting will take place in Hundon Village Hall on 10 September at 8pm. For more information please email matthew.hancock.mp@parliament.uk .
